Tasmanian Health Service is seeking experienced nurses for the role of Clinical Nurse Educator - Palliative Care to work in North West Tasmania.

Fixed Term Full Time Day Worker position working 76 hours per fortnight until November 2021

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, the focus of duties of this role is to facilitate professional development within a learning and research culture, promoting patient centred inter-professional learning, including where delegated contributing to relevant groups and committees.

The North West Specialist Palliative Care Service is a community based consultative service, with a new Palliative Care Inpatient Service at the Mersey Community Hospital and a North West Regional Hospital in-reach component facilitated by the Specialist Palliative Care Team including Staff Specialists, Specialist Social Worker, Nursing Staff and Palliative Care GP Registrars in training.

The multidisciplinary team consisting of medical, nursing and allied health staff, facilitates palliative care advice, education and support to healthcare providers in North West Tasmania and manages the care of referred palliative clients and their families when complex symptom management is required.

The Specialist Palliative Care Service works closely with GPs, hospitals staff and community nursing services to ensures an integrated palliative approach and better client identified outcomes. Nursing careers in Tasmania - https://www.dhhs.tas.gov.au/career/home/nurses2
