Palliative Care - Staff Nurses

Full-time

Salary – Negotiable

Contract – Permanent 35 hours per week, 5 shifts over 7 days including weekends

Do you wish to nurse where patients and families always come first?  We are looking for Compassionate Caring individuals, enthusiastic about delivering care to patients with life limiting illnesses.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this post, along with sound organisational skills and a commitment to ensuring that a high standard of care is provided to patients and their families.  You will be committed to the delivery of safe, high quality evidence based specialist palliative care and have the ability to work on your own initiative as well as being part of the wider multi-disciplinary team.  The post holder will bring a proactive influence to multidisciplinary team meetings and be expected to champion innovative practice within the field of hospice and end of life care.  You will work closely as part of the multi-disciplinary team and be responsible for the safety of patients and their own actions or omissions in line with the Nursing and Midwifery Council’s Code. You will promote and participate in the achievement of the Core Values within your everyday practice.  Although palliative care experience would be desirable it is not essential and we are looking for an established staff nurse with a developed and broad skill set.

Statistics and accolades do not come close to painting a full picture of the personal and compassionate service our expert staff provide to all those in need of care.  In addition to our main facility, situated in colourful, landscaped grounds in Clydebank, near Glasgow, we offer a wide range of services to the local and wider community – including the Edwina Bradley Day Hospice, Out Patient Facilities, Community Specialist Palliative Care and Counselling Services.
