Join the Palliative Care Nurses Australia (PCNA) Steering Committee
Several positions will become vacant at the PCNA AGM in September 2025, and we’re looking for passionate members to join our leadership team. These include both general Steering Committee roles and Executive positions.
Some of our current members have completed their six-year term (and will be greatly missed!), opening the door for fresh perspectives and new voices to help guide PCNA’s future.
Whether you’re early in your palliative care journey or a seasoned professional, we want to hear from you.
Commitment:
Steering Committee: 1-hour virtual meeting each month, held outside of usual work hours, plus occasional out-of-session meetings if needed. The committee also works closely with the Conference Chair in planning our biennial conference, which may require additional meetings.
Executive (Eg: Vice President, Treasurer): Meets as required outside of these sessions, with more regular out-of-session discussions and email coordination.
The committee is supported by a Secretariat that handles the day-to-day operations of the organisation, allowing members to focus on governance, strategy, and collaboration. Based on their capacity and interest, members may also be invited to contribute to webinars, workshops, and other PCNA programs from time to time.
To be eligible, you must be a current PCNA member with a valid membership for the duration of your term.
If you’ve valued what PCNA offers and feel you can contribute to our mission, complete our Expression of Interest form below today. Submissions will be reviewed by the current committee, considering skills, experience, and current roles. Applications close 5pm AEST Friday 29 August, 2025.
