Are you a nurse working in, interested in, or passionate about palliative care?

PCNA exists for nurses. Whether you are working at the bedside, in the community, in education, research, leadership or volunteering within the sector, PCNA connects nurses from across Australia through education, professional support and a shared commitment to quality palliative care.

From just $100 per year, membership includes access to educational webinars, member-exclusive resources and recordings, conference discounts, and opportunities to connect with a national community of nurses working across palliative care.

Full Membership

For registered nurses with AHPRA registration who are working in, or have a demonstrated professional interest in, palliative care.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Specialist palliative care nurses

  • Registered nurses working in any clinical setting with an interest in palliative care

  • Nurse leaders, educators, researchers and academics connected to palliative care practice

Full Members are eligible to vote, contribute to national representation activities, and nominate for PCNA committees and working groups.

Associate Membership

For professionals, students and support roles connected to the palliative care sector who are not eligible for Full Membership.

Eligible applicants include:

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health workers

  • Nursing assistants and aged care workers

  • Undergraduate nursing students

  • Allied health professionals and other clinicians with an interest in palliative care who are not AHPRA-registered nurses

Associate Members receive access to PCNA education, resources and member benefits, however governance and voting rights are reserved for Full Members.
