We welcome you to the 2025 webinar program with our 13th session on Wednesday 19 November.
This was a MEMBER-EXCLUSIVE session, so your membership will need to be up to date to view in the Member’s Hub.
In this Member Exclusive session, Robert Wojnar, Palliative Care Pharmacist and Lecturer at Monash University, presented “Deprescribing in Palliative Care: A Refresher from a Pharmacist”.
The presentation explored practical approaches to safely reducing or stopping medications that may no longer provide benefit, with a clear focus on improving comfort and quality of life.
Deprescribing is an important, yet often challenging, aspect of palliative care, and this session provided practical insights designed specifically for palliative care nurses.
Viewers will gain greater confidence in recognising when deprescribing is appropriate, communicating with patients and families, and collaborating effectively with the wider healthcare team.
As always, the session will be recorded and uploaded to the PCNA Members’ Area after the event.
